EU-JOINTRAINING is a European project that will look into the possibilities of creating a harmonized system of training and qualification courses, specifically in the field of plastic joining. The consortium will look into the development of a common guideline, in accordance with EWF practices.
With the industry of plastic joining growing at a rate of over 15% per year, there is a clear need for the implementation of a common qualification system. The project will pursue this objective by developing a common training guideline and organising one pilot course in each participating country.
The project will also make use of the results of another Leonardo Project, TRAINING-LAB. This project designed, developed and tested a new, flexible and multifunctional training environment, coming out as the result of the analysis of new training methodologies and techniques. TRAINING-LAB will be especially important as a tool for the development of the pilot training course.
The main beneficiaries of the project will be the welding communities of Romania, Italy, Germany and Czech Republic, where each individual partner is best suited to organize the pilot courses for their respective welding communities, as well as disseminating the project results throughout the participating countries.
